From Oct. 2012 Prevention Magazine:
"Only 30% of people diagnosed with breast cancer have a known risk factor, which means there are still factors that we haven't identified. In order to change that, the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation has created the first online breast cancer study. The Health of Women Study, being launched this month, offers an easy, non-invasive way for everyone to be part of potentially lifesaving medical research.
Participants - women and men with or without breast cancer - report their health information in confidence, creating what the foundation hopes will be the largest pool of data ever collected. This should give researchers new insight into what increases breast cancer risks.
The group hopes that more than 500,000 people will join.
