I've been reading Lynn Austin; she's a Christian writer. She mostly writes historical fiction. Her series called Chronicles of Kings is about kings from the Old Testament. You really feel like those old kings can be understood after reading her books. I have people on a list that want to borrow my books by her. She also wrote a trilogy about the Civil War. One from the vantage point of a slave, a plantation owner's daughter, and one from an abolitionist. Her books are captivating. I highly recommend them.

Ginger, John Galt is someone I'd like to meet. You're right about the movers and shakers dropping out. I haven't really gotten to the part where the main characters follow suit and meet the real power brokers group. The book is divided into three parts. I'm in the middle of the second part. Its really good reading, I hate to put it down but one must sleep, eat and work.

Have any of you read "Liberty and Tyranny A Conservative Manifesto"? I'm reading it for the second time. If you love our Constitution this is a must read.

I have it on my "To read" list. I'm not sure if I'll read it next or "5000 Year Leap" also a must read.

Hi, haven't been here for a while. I'm off on Holiday for a week although we didn't really go anywhere. Intead stayed home and just relaxed. Ever since I was diagnosed with mets I have been receiving little gifts and cards here and there in the mail.

On Monday I received a package from someone. She didn't identify herself, just called me her secret pal. Anyways she sent me a book called "Two Old Women." Written by Velma Wallis. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it is a tale legend about Betraylal, Courage, and Survival. If you have a chance try to get a copy as it is a wonderful book and when I finished it I felt peace.

I have been reading lots of biographies lately. I would highly recommend "Pat Nixon - The Untold Story" That woman was absolutely amazing.
Also enjoyed "Killing Kennedy" and "Killing Lincoln".

I bought Brian Kilmeade's "The Secret Six" but can't get into it. Did anyone read it ?

Does the read have to be political? I'm reading "Storm of Swords" by George R. R. Martin
"I will be America's Greatest Defender and Most Loyal Champion" Donald J. Trump ==!

I always have a Christian novel by my side. I've read everything written by Lynn Austin. My favorite author is Melody Carlson, but I just finshed reading the 5th & final book in the WALK series. (Excellent) It's about a man, who over a period of several weeks loses his wife, his business, home, & cars. So he packs his backpack and sets out to walk the farthest he can walk on dry land. He starts in Seattle with his final destination being Key West Fla. It's about all the people he meets along the way. Written by Richard Paul Evans.

Not to be downer here, but I'm reading, GRIEVING A SUICIDE by Albert Y. Hsu

It's amazing how "on track" I am with others who have gone through the nightmare.

Seeing that you are taking care of yourself and doing the things you need to get through is an upper, not a downer. (((((hugs))))).

I've finished Bill O'Reily's books Killing Kennedy, Killing Lincoln, and Killing Jesus. I'm looking forward to his release of Patton. I've read a few books lately about Jewish history… historical fiction that has been well researched. Next, I have Allen West's Guardian of the Republic. My son met him and the book is inscribed to me.

There's a Western Conservative Summit in Denver July 18-20. I would LOVE to go. Most of the people I think of highly and know they care about our republic will be there. My son is attending all of it. Next year, I'm going to block out the time to make it there.
